Network Topologies

Computer networks use different topologies to share information. A topology is a pattern (or diagram) that shows how nodes(Internet using devices) connect to each other. Computer networks have both physical topologies and logical typologies.
⦁ Physical topology – Refers to the physical layout of wires in the network
⦁ Logical topology – Refers to how data moves through the network

Types :

SlTopology nameDetails
1Point to PointOne System is connected to another
2Bus Network line is bus , all Systems connected to  Network
If any systems fails ,  No issue to another system network & Issue raised when bus failed at some instance after that instance network fails
3RingOne System is connected to another last system connects to first , circular continuous If any systems fails ,  issue to another system network
4StartServer/Network is at Middle , and all systems connects to it
If any systems fails no issue to another system network
5MeshZig zag interconnection of network
systems/nodes have Multiple Inputs and OutputsCables requires more, high availability
6Tree Like Tree branches, level wise nodes are connected
7HybridCombination of various topologies

Daisy Chain :

One node is connected to another
